Log-A-Load and Miracle Mile: Sharing a Tradition
Many LP foresters over the years, including those in Hanceville, Alabama, have participated in the annual Log-A-Load and Miracle Mile programs to aid Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. The Hanceville mill recently held its logger appreciation day in conjunction with the two programs. Loggers donated the value of a load of wood, while others pledged money for each mile that Miracle Mile participants walked along a 139-mile path that stretched from the Tennessee state line south to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
